Sophia University President Yoshiaki Terumichi Reappointed for the Second Term
On October 28, Sophia School Corporation convened the Board of Trustees and a decision was reached to reappoint the President Yoshiaki Terumichi (Faculty of Science and Technology) for the second term.

On January 2016, Sophia School Corporation revised the rules for Sophia University presidential election. In addition to members of the President Nomination Committee, faculty members and staffs were made eligible to recommend a nominee. Three candidates are selected out of those nominees by the committee interview, then faculty members/staffs submit an assessment of these candidates. Considering overall evaluations, the Board of Trustees reaches the final decision who to appoint the President.
