Sophia University and The Education University of Hong Kong (EdUHK), a globally renowned institution in the field of education, launch a Double Degree Program at the master’s level starting in the Fall 2024 semester.
The Double Degree Program allows students to earn degrees from two universities within a specified period by fulfilling the academic requirements set by both institutions. Through one year of study at each university, students who meet the program’s requirements will be awarded a Master’s degree in Environmental Studies from Sophia University and a Master’s degree in Education from EdUHK.
This program integrates the fields of environmental studies and education, fostering innovative approaches to addressing societal challenges. It aims to cultivate professionals equipped with interdisciplinary perspectives to contribute to the realization of a sustainable society.
This marks Sophia University’s third Double Degree Program at the master’s level, following partnerships with SOAS University of London and Chulalongkorn University in Thailand.

Eligibility and Degrees
Students in the Master’s Program (Thesis Track) at Sophia University’s Graduate School of Global Environmental Studies who join this double degree program will earn a Master of Education from The Education University of Hong Kong (EdUHK). Similarly, students in EdUHK’s Master of Education (Research Project Track) who participate in the program will earn a Master of Arts in Environmental Studies from Sophia University.
About Sophia University’s International collaboration Programs
