The program was focused especially on the Mekong Region (Thailand, Cambodia, and Laos) this time. Personnel from international organizations working actively in the region, such as United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO), International Labour Organization (ILO), and Asian Development Bank (ADB) delivered lectures and Q & A sessions regarding the issues related to economic growth, disparity and human resource development.

Savannakhet University, which is the ADB’s project site of the ” Second Strengthening Higher Education Project ” in Laos, also delivered lectures and had a students’ exchange session with Sophia University.

Students could deepen their understandings of the roles, functions and challenges of international organizations, and could think about how to address development and social issues, and contribute to the international community by participating the program.
