Farewell Ceremony held at University of Luxembourg for Scholarship Students attending Summer Session at Sophia University

Nine students are attending Summer Session this year

Since Sophia University concluded student exchange agreement with University of Luxembourg in 2008, active student exchanges have been promoted every year. Also in 2012, our first European office was opened at University of Luxembourg.

In recent years, many of Sophia students choose to study at University of Luxembourg to learn in French as well as in English being attracted by multi-cultural and multi-national background of Luxembourg.

Sophia University also welcomes long term students from University of Luxembourg every year. And in addition we offer scholarship for students to attend a short term program: Summer Session in East Asian Studies and Japanese Language, every year accepting maximum of nine students in exchange of locating our office at their Campus.

On June 6, University of Luxembourg President Stéphane Pallage, Vice President Tonie Van Dam and Ambassador of Japan to Luxembourg Shigeji Suzuki attended a farewell ceremony at University of Luxembourg to see off nine selected students to Summer Session at Sophia University who are now enjoying their summer here at the Yotsuya Campus.
