Sophia University to Host the IAU International Conference 2024

Sophia University is proud to host the IAU International Conference 2024, organized by the International Association of Universities (IAU). This event will take place from November 22 to 24 at the Yotsuya Campus, bringing together over 200 higher education institutions from approximately 80 countries and regions. From Japan, 15 universities and institutions, including the Japan Association of National Universities, will participate.

This year’s theme is “University Values in a Changing World.” More than 30 speakers from higher education institutions and international organizations, such as the United Nations University, will deliver keynote speeches and case study presentations.

At Sophia University, we believe that participation in international consortia with a global reach and actively disseminating information from Japan alongside universities worldwide is crucial for maintaining and enhancing the international relevance of Japanese higher education. We hope that this IAU International Conference will serve as an opportunity to explore new possibilities for international collaboration and cooperation.
