Sophia will host “PON Global” in September 2019, a negotiation training course offered by the Program on Negotiation (PON) at Harvard Law School

Kick-off event for the Professional Studies program

Sophia University is launching a new Professional Studies program in April 2020. The aim of this program is to collaborate with the business community in fostering the development of a creative learning environment for businesspersons.

In September 2019, as a kick-off event, we will host the Program on Negotiation (PON) Global course, a three-day negotiation training offered in partnership with the Program on Negotiation at Harvard Law School.

PON has been a world leader in negotiation education, research and training. Among the diverse range of workshops that PON offers for professionals, PON Global provides a similar curriculum to an international audience as PON’s flagship course offered in Cambridge.

The first ever PON Global pilot, just two days, was also in partnership with Sophia University in 2015. Since then, the PON Global course has now been offered in Greece, Cyprus, the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Italy, Ireland, Uruguay, Denmark, Hong Kong, Mexico, Chile, Israel, and the UK.

This three-day negotiation skills worship is designed to teach the basics of negotiation, including: skills to improve one’s negotiating capacity, tools to deal with emotional and rational biases, and strategies for difficult negotiation situations. The course is comprised of the following contents:

  • Interactive classroom sessions led by a PON instructor
  • Dynamic negotiation exercises and discussions
  • Video-based modules featuring world class PON instructors
  • Real-life Harvard case studies
  • Videoconferences with senior faculty at Harvard

The program is especially recommended for those who seek to acquire world-class negotiation skills and become effective negotiators on the global stage.
