【IMPORTANT】Postponement of the first day of class of the 2020 academic year

Dear Students,
On March 16 we announced the postponement of the first day of class for the 2020 Academic Year, however the coronavirus (COVID-19) situation in Japan continues to be uncertain. To ensure the health and safety of our community, we have decided to further postpone the start of the 2020 academic year.
We would like to thank you for your cooperation and understanding in this matter.
Our faculty and staff members all look forward to welcoming you on campus soon.
New Schedule
Spring Semester: Monday, May 25 – Saturday, August 1
1st Quarter: Monday, May 25 – Saturday, June 27
2nd Quarter: Monday, June 29 – Saturday, August 1
Final Exams: Monday, August 3 – Friday, August 7
- New academic year events such as guidance orientation, course registration, and other events that were scheduled to begin after April 13 will be rescheduled and notices will be sent out by mid-April. New students will be notified by e-mail and current students will be notified through the student portal (Loyola).
- Depending on the situation in the future, there is a possibility that online classes will be conducted instead of regular face-to-face classes. We ask that all students prepare for this possibility and make sure that they will be able to access the internet via PC/laptop or tablet, etc., from home.
- Class start dates and guidance for Law School and the Course of Midwifery may be different to the above and will be announced on the university website and Loyola once they are determined.
- The situation regarding COVID-19 is constantly changing and there may be further schedule changes in the future, please make sure to check the university website and Loyola for updates.
