On October 8, 2025, Temple University, Japan Campus (TUJ) and Sophia University co-hosted their annual joint career fair at Sophia’s Yotsuya campus. The event offered students the opportunity to meet face-to-face with representatives from 16 companies.

More than 300 students from both universities participated in the fair, which has been held annually since 2012. The focus was on companies hiring for full-time positions that offer visa sponsorship. Notably, the  participating companies were especially interested in students with international backgrounds and were flexible regarding Japanese language proficiency.

The fair began at 2:30 p.m., with students visiting individual company booths to attend presentations and gather detailed information directly from recruiters. A steady stream of attendees continued throughout the  afternoon until the event concluded at 6:00 p.m.

Thais Favero Souza, a staff member at Sophia University’s Career Center, commented, “Student participation significantly exceeded last year’s numbers, and satisfaction levels were quite high, indicating that the event was a meaningful opportunity for many. The number of participating companies also increased considerably, allowing us to introduce students to a wider variety of industries and work styles. With the cooperation of these outstanding companies, we hope to carry this success forward into future events, and to continue our efforts to serve as a bridge between more students and companies.”
