Congratulatory remarks were given by Chancellor Sali Augustine of Sophia School Corporation and Mr. Masao Torii, President of the Sophia University Alumni Association. This was followed by acknowledgment speeches from student representatives (Itsuka Omata from the Faculty of Foreign Studies in the morning session, and Miharu Hosono from the Graduate School of Economics in the afternoon session).

In her address, President Sugimura stated, “As each of you embarks on your own path and takes on active roles in society, I am confident that the learning and experiences you gained at Sophia University will continue to support you. Please trust in your own abilities and choose your path with dreams and courage, while also valuing an attitude of engaging with others and walking alongside them as you move forward.”

Chancellor Augustine offered the following message: “Whichever path you may choose, your presence will kindle the light of ‘tolerance’ in that place. I hope that you will become graduates who bring such light. I pray that your journey will always be illuminated by Lux Veritatis—the Light of Truth—and by God’s abundant blessings.”

The ceremony concluded with the singing of the university anthem by all attendees, together with the Sophia Choir and the mixed choir Amadeus Chor, accompanied by the orchestra.
