Sophia University Researchers Ranked Among the World’s Top 2% in 2025
Seven Sophia University researchers have been recognized in the career-long category and six in the single recent year category of the Updated Science-wide Author Database of Standardized Citation Indicators. The comprehensive list, which identifies the world’s top 2% of scientists, was updated and published on September 19, 2025, by Stanford University and Elsevier.
The ranking is based on data from the Scopus citation database and covers scientists worldwide who have published at least five papers across 22 scientific fields and 174 subfields. Researchers are evaluated using a composite indicator that includes total citations (excluding self-citations), h-index, number of single-authored papers, and number of papers as first or last author, among other factors.
Those ranked in the top 2% are recognized for their outstanding global research impact. This announcement is based on data released on September 19, 2025.
