(No longer accepting applications) Emergency Student Support Handout for Continuing Studies: Second Offering

To Current Students and Parents / Guarantors

FUKUTAKE Shintaro
Director, Center for Student Affairs

In order to continue to support students affected by COVID-19, the Japanese government has announced a second offering for the government-established “Emergency Student Support Handout for Continuing Studies”. We ask that all students that plan to apply prepare the required documents.

What is the “Emergency Student Support Handout for Continuing Studies”?
The Japanese government established the “Emergency Student Support Handout for Continuing Studies” to support university students who are experiencing a significant economic impact on their lifestyles due to heavy reductions in household income and income from part-time work due to the novel coronavirus pandemic. The program provides students with a cash deposit to help students continue their studies at their university. The first offering stopped accepting applications in June.

  • The application process and schedule details for the second offering will be posted on Loyola (University bulletin board).
  • Degree-seeking undergraduate, graduate and international students are eligible to apply.
  • Students that already applied and received this handout may not apply again.
  • Students that applied to the first offering and were not accepted may apply again. (Some restrictions apply, see Loyola for details)
