As you may have already learned from the media, Pope Francis, who was visiting our university on November 26, 2019, underwent colon surgery at the Agostino Gemelli University Hospital in Rome on July 4, and is now on the road to recovery.

I am sure that many prayers and messages for His Holiness’ recovery have been received from all over the world. We, at Sophia University, would like to offer a Mass for His Holiness’ recovery, as follows, for his constant and sincere care for us.

We would like to ask all of our students, faculty, and staff members, as well as all those concerned, to unite in prayer for His Holiness during the following time of Mass.

At a later date, we shall send a message from our university to the Pope in regard to the Mass.

Mass for the recovery of His Holiness Pope Francis is scheduled on Thursday, July 8, 2021, from 12:45 to 1:20 p.m.
