Due to the ongoing coronavirus epidemic, Sophia University decided to cancel the Autumn Orientation Camp that was scheduled to occur September 24 and 25, to ensure the safety of our students.

Sophia University Orientation Camp for undergraduate freshmen is a unique event that staff, faculty members and current student helpers had been preparing for and we are disappointed that were forced to make this difficult decision for the autumn semester as well. Starting your new university life in the current situation may leave you worried about how to proceed, please make sure to check the information from your department on Loyola to help you prepare for classes and university life.

In regards to the orientation camp fee that is included in the Education Enhancement fee, we will be reallocating it as described below.

• Orientation Camp Fee (Full Amount):
    20,000 yen
• Reallocation Method:
    The fee will be reallocated to part of the 2021 tuition.
    No specific action is required. We ask for your understanding regarding this matter.
