| ○講義概要 |
This course is an introduction to the scientific study of the English language. The primary goal of the course is to bring you to reflect critically on English and its use in daily life, which is usually taken for granted by the native speakers, but which poses great challenges to those who try to learn it as a second/foreign language. Following English Linguistics 1, this semester we will focus on issues in pragmatics, historical linguistics, psycholinguistics, neurolinguistics, and first language acquisition.
