- 1-5 Number of courses offered
The semester system was introduced in Academic Year (AY) 2005 and since then the number of courses offered each year has remained almost unchanged. A curriculum assessment system, launched in AY 2014, provides a multifaceted assessment mechanism to gauge whether the course offerings and graduation requirements are functioning as originally envisioned and as planned, and whether they meet the needs of students and demands of society. In fall semester of AY 2012, the Sophia University Non-matriculated Student Program was introduced, allowing Junior College Division students who fulfill predetermined requirements and pass an on-campus screening to enroll in some of the courses offered by Sophia University and to earn credits for those courses, up to 12 credits maximum. This program has increased course enrollment options for students.

1-6 Sophia Community College: Number of courses offered and students
In Academic Years (AY) 2010, 2011, and 2012 a large number of courses were offered through the Community College program and the number of students showed an increasing trend. But from AY 2013, for some courses there was an insufficient number of applicants and the number of students decreased. In Fall Semester of AY 2014, however, as course contents were revised and the number of courses was increased, there was a small increase in number of students.
