Introduction to Canadian Culture and Society I
|
○講義概要 |
Given its geographical proximity, Canada is often regarded as merely being a part of the United States. However, its particular socio-historical legacy makes it a distinct nation, thereby giving rise to a unique social, economic, and political approach unlike that of the United States.
This course is the first of a two-part course that provides an introduction to Canadian culture and society.
Lectures will be conducted primarily in English. While the use of English is strongly encouraged, reaction papers can be written and submitted in Japanese. In-class discussions and presentation should be done in English.
