○科目サブタイトル
Hinduism & other Indian Religions
○講義概要
In this course, we shall try to understand India through its major religions, especially Hinduism: its origins, beliefs, books, codes, morals, practices, traditions, myths and legends. The textbook, written by an Indian living in the United States of America, addresses the questions of Indian youngsters who are unaware of their Hindu roots. In the form of questions and answers, it presents an overall view of Hinduism in simple and intelligible terms. Attendance is mandatory. There will be quizzes, group discussions, and video/oral presentations in class.
