Value and Parliamentary Debating
○講義概要
This class does not have any expectation of previous experience with debate. We will use printed articles including essay debates and a textbook to cover most of the simple points of academic value debate. Students who cannot arrive at Sophia by 0915 should not register for this course. This class will be conducted in English.

出席状況(40%)、授業参画(20%)、レポート(30%)、小テスト等(10%)
Punctuality is very important.

This class will be conducted in English
○授業計画
1About six homework assignments will be given. The article by Professor Branham about debate in Japan must be read within two weeks.
2The textbook will be started. I expect to finish this textbook completely during the first semester.
3First homework expected. Third homework assignment will be from a book of written debates prepared by Prof. Peter Milward.
