| ○講義概要 |
The second semester of Advanced Current English is designed to approach the study of English through current topics in the news. We will look at how current English is used in audio media: Internet resources, music, radio, and television news, etc. Students will be asked provide an audio copy of their news source to the instructor and supply a vocabulary list of relevant terms to their classmates prior to giving a short presentation on their topic of choice. Students are expected to come to class prepared and ready to actively participate in group discussions. Final group projects will be discussed during orientation. Response to the work of others will be welcomed in a classroom environment that encourages students to speak freely, although respectfully, without the fear of personal attack or harassment.
