| ○講義概要 |
This course is designed for students who have near native speaking abilities in English. We will be looking at literature dealing with psychological and physical conflicts. Topics such as individual identity, gender issues, family ties, race relations and the use of force will be examined through a series of short stories written by modern American writers. Extensive reading, writing, and discussion will be main activities in the class as deep interpretation and analysis of each work will be done. Students will be expected to maintain a written journal and do independent research assignments each week.
