◆英文講読(フロイトとグリム童話) - (通)
小川 公代
○講義概要
In this course we will read and interprete the fairy tales of the brothers Grimm. Fairy tales are of interest to us because of the sheer extent of the historical and geographical dispersal of (folk) tales that are analogous to these tales such as "Cinderella", "Hansel and Gretel" or "The Two Brothers." The purpose of this course is to enjoy reading tales and also to learn theoretical readings of psychoanalysis. Each week, you will be given photocopied material (a psychoanalytical reading of one or more Grimm's tale(s)--mostly from Bettleheim's book), and you are expected to read the tales discussed in the handout, and understand Bettleheim's analysis.
