| ○講義概要 |
The first semester of Advanced Current English is designed to approach the study of English through current topics in the news. We will look at how current English is used in print media: Internet resources, newspapers, magazines, and books etc. Students will be asked to give presentations on a news topic of their choice after distributing copies of relevant materials along with a vocabulary list for easy reference to their classmates. Students are expected to come to class prepared and ready to actively participate in group discussions. Response to the work of others will be welcomed in a classroom environment that encourages students to speak freely, although respectfully, without the fear of personal attack or harassment.

出席状況(10%)、授業参画(20%)、前期学期末試験(定期試験期間中)(30%)、小テスト等(40%)
All late homework will lose one letter grade for every day it is late. Missing more than 4 classes will result in automatic failure of the class.
