○講義概要

シェイクスピアの劇作品をいくつか取り上げる。作品のあらすじを理解してから、いくつかの場面について原文に触れ、テーマに基づいて作品を考察していきたい。映画化された作品の比較、シェイクスピアの基礎知識も交えながら進めていく。シェイクスピアを教材に、英文解釈や発表・表現の能力、思考力を総合的に養成したい。最初は、Romeo and Julietを予定。

In the second semester, following the same format, we shall study James Joyce's autobiographical novel, one of the central works of literary Modernism.

出席状況(15%)、授業参画(15%)、レポート(20%)
授業内発表50％

14	※後期はTwelfth Night(他)の作品を取り上げ、前期と同様の形態で進めていく。名優による有名スピーチを鑑賞・比較したり、各自好きな名スピーチを選んで朗読したり、特定の場面をグループで発表するなど、さまざまな試みをしてみたい。
15	発表形式を取り入れるため、受講者の人数によって、内容・日程を多少変更することがあるので、その点を予めご了承頂きたい。
