TOEIC MULTISKILLS & INTERNET RESEARCH

| ○講義概要 |
This is an Upper Intermediate Intergrated course for students who want to improve their TOEIC/TOEFL test skills; their internet research skills and learn more about and discuss current Japanese and international social and cultural topics.In first semester we will practise TOEIC Reading/Listening Skills and do some CALL (computer-assisted language learning) and multimedia internet activities. You will learn study skills such as paraphrasing, outlining, taking notes and summarizing from internet, magazine and newspaper articles. In second semester we will watch video reports on current news topics, complete written and spoken exercises on these video reports; learn how to use the Internet to research these topics and participate actively in pair and small group discussions and debates on these issues. You will learn how to give a short multimedia class presentation and write a short research report on your favourite current affairs topic. The attendance rule will be strictly adhered to.

Will be decided in first class. Mainly we will use handouts, activity pages from CALL and the Internet.You will need an English/English dictionary.
