○講義概要

本授業では、下記のテキストを用いて、様々な内容に関する英語の文章を正確に読み取る訓練を行う。テキストは12課の構成であるが、1課を授業2回程度で終わらせ、前期に1課～6課、後期に7課～12課を取り扱う予定である。各課は英語による記事やエッセイと、その内容・語句・表現に関する練習問題からなる。受講者は、予め、筆者の意図や構成に注意して文章の内容を予習しておくことが要求される。また、練習問題により、語彙・イディオムの定着を図る。授業中には、パラグラフ毎くらいの大意や練習問題の解答などを答えてもらう。前期、後期それぞれの最終授業で試験を行う。

○評価方法

出席状況(5%)、授業参画(5%)、前期学期末試験(授業期間中)(45%)、後期学期末試験(授業期間中)(45%)
