| Listening and Speaking |
| ○講義概要 |
| This course will consentrate on Listening and Speaking. One day of the week will be used for Listening and on day will will be used for Speaking. Speaking Topics will come from topics suggested by the student, from the textbook and from the teacher, Speaking will include pronunciation practice, Jazz Chants, small group discussions and individual speeches, students will be required to report on group discussions. The Listenings will include listening to lectures, songs, interviews, conversations, and videos. Exercises will include listening for intonation, main ideas and supporting ideas. Students will also practice making questions and iverviewing each other. CLASS SIZE MAY BE LIMITED. |
| ○評価方法 |
| 出席状況(25%)、授業参画(25%)、後期学期末試験(授業期間中)(20%) Students must attend 85% of classes to pass. The class participation grade will include student's effort to use English in class. Summer Homework instead of a midterm exam - 15% Other homework - 15% Class participation includes effort and attitude. |
