○科目サブタイトル
A course for improving listening and speaking skills through communicative activities
○講義概要
This course is designed for students who wish to improve their listening and speaking skills through various communicative activities. It will also focus on strategies to perform 'speech acts' (e.g. requesting, thanking) in effective ways. There will be opportunities to watch/listen to films, news programmes, songs, etc. Students are supposed to be COMMUNICATIVE and RESPONSIBLE in this course - there will be plenty of communicative activities such as pair/group work, role plays, skits and oral presentations. Proof of a score increase in an English proficiency test (e.g. TOEFL, TOEIC, STEP) will be considered as extra points in the total evaluation. Attendance and participation are above all important. 85% or more attendance regulation will be strictly observed. Summer homework will be given.

出席状況(10%)、授業参画(10%)、前期学期末試験(授業期間中)(30%)、後期学期末試験(授業期間中)(30%)、小テスト等(20%)
