Basic F: Listening, Speaking, Reading and Writing

| ○講義概要 |
This class is for students who really want to learn how to use all of the English they have already learned. We will do this by practicing using English for everyday life -- for example, making plans with friends, talking about the things we like and dislike, ordering food in a restaurant, shopping etc. We will also read one or two short books in English. Finally, we will learn how to write short paragraphs in English. This is important because it teaches students how English speakers organize their ideas.

授業参画(10%)、レポート(30%)、前期学期末試験(授業期間中)(15%)、後期学期末試験(授業期間中)(15%)、小テスト等(20%)
Each student must perform a short conversation in front of the class each semester. (10%) Homework will be considered in the final grade. All grade values are approximate.

| ○テキスト |
You will need to buy the textbook for the course before the first day of class. The textbook includes a CD that you can use at home for listening practice. You will also be provided with prints during the class. The teacher will collect 500 yen from each student to pay for class prints. Please keep a file folder for all of your class prints. Finally, you will be asked to buy one or two short books in English. The teacher will give you information about this after classes begin.
