We will first look at the the concepts of Approach, Design, and Procedure, as discussed in Richards and Rodgers (2001), and look at various TEFL methodologies on the basis of these concepts. We will next look at the Japanese Study Guidelines as well as the way English is being taught at different levels in Japan. Students will then be asked to conduct micro-lessons showing how English might be taugnt better. Final paper will also be required.
