◆Affective Factors in TESOL - (後)
坂本 光代
○講義概要
This course looks at such factors as anxiety, motivation, and self-esteem in learning a foreign language. Knowing the responsive mechanism of language learners in these domains can facilitate language teachers in planning and delivering an effective language instruction.

The course will be heavily discussion-based, each session beginning with the summary and responses to the weekly assigned reading. Presenter of the week will be responsible to do an additional reading selected from the weekly reading list and present a summary to class. Students will be designing an emotionally sensitive language curriculum as their final course paper.

Lectures will be conducted entirely in English and presentations are to be done in English as well. In addition, students will be expected to write and submit their response papers as well as their final paper in English.
