日本語史入門
○講義概要
A brief survey of the history of the Japanese language in terms of phonology, morphology, syntax, (semantics,) and writing systems. In the beginning of each topic, a brief sketch of the Modern Japanese grammar will be given. Discussions of the characterizations of each historical stage of the Japanese language will follow with the representative examples illustrating historical changes. The significance of the historical changes to linguistic theory will be examined and discussed.

出席状況(20%)、授業参画(20%)、前期学期末試験(授業期間中)(30%)、中間試験(30%)
Mid-term and final examinations will be take-home examinations.
