Japanese Historical Buildings and Cities
○講義概要
This course aims to give you two kinds of fundamental knowledge of the Japanese practice of architecture and city-building from ancient period until the 20th century. The first is to give you a basic historical acquaintance with important Japanese architectures and cities, and the second is to build up theoretical framework to understand them. Each class is consisted with dialogues between members based on each of your presentations about actual buildings and cities.
