In this class we will examine the problems of mental disorder and drug abuse as social problems. In dealing with the problem of mental disorder we first ask the questions "What is mental disorder?" and examine how the definitionhas changed over time. We will then look at different models of mental idsorder and evaluate differend ways of dealing with mental disorder. In dealing with the problems of drug abuse, we will first look at the types of substances referred to as drugs, then look into the reasons that some "drugs" are legal and others are not, and finally look at he different ways the problem is and could be dealt with.ONLYSTUDENTSWHOHABESUCCESSFULLYCOMMPLETED米国社会問題IWILLBEPERMITTEDTOREGISTERFORTHISCLASS."
