○講義概要 |
In this class we wil look at crime and the judicial system from a number of theoretical perspectives, examining the context from which the theories arose and the implications they have had for social policies. Throug this investigation the student should be able to develop a deeper insight into the problems of crime, the judicial system itself, and the processes throough which those problems arose. We will begin with a look at the types of crime. We will then follow the development of criminological theory as it progressed from emphasis on the individual, through the Chigaco School, Strain Theory, Labeling Theory, Conflict Theory and finally back to an emphasis on the individual. We will then loook at biases in the judicial system and the reason for those biases.THISCLASSISLIMITEDTOFIFTYPEOPLE.ONLYPEOPLEATTNDINGTHEFIRSTCLASSWILLBEPERMITTEDTOREGISTER.Studentswishingtotakethisclassshouldhavealreadycompletedアメリカ社会研究入門IandII
