Value and Parliamentary Debating
○講義概要
This class does not have any expectation of preivous experience with debate. We will use printed articles including essay debates and a textbook to cover most of the simple points of academic value debate. Students who cannot arrive at Sophia by 0915 should not register for this course.

出席状況(40%)、授業参画(20%)、レポート(30%)、小テスト等(10%)
Punctuality is very important.

○授業計画
1About six homework assignments will be given. The article by Professor Branham about debate in Japan must be read within two weeks.
2The textbook will be started and I expect to finish this textbook completely during the first semester,unlike last year.
3First homework expected. Second homework assignment will be from a book of written debates prepared by Prof. Peter Milward.
