Writing Screenplays for Film

| ○講義概要 |
In this class we will learn the basic rules of writing screenplays for cinema, focusing on well-accepted formulas and rules, but also looking at the ways in which these rules are broken. Students will write a full-length treatment (story) for a feature film, or a short film script. Hopefully some of the scripts will become the basis for films that can be produced in the “Introduction to Film Production” class next year. Even if you are not interested in writing a screenplay this class will teach you to by critical and analytical, skills which can be used in many other academic and professional settings.
