English Communication Project Course

| ○講義概要 |
As this is a level III course students will be expected to have a reasonable level of spoken English as a prerequisite. This course will emphasise improving their spoken English and ways to utilise it to communicate meaning. This will be accomplished by a number of activites and any grammatical and written errors will be dealt with as and when they occur. The emphasis will be on spoken English though. After an initial period of assessing the student's abilities project work will be introduced. this will involve out of class research in groups to put together a project that will be presented to the class by each group. These projects will be set by the teacher and will be marked and account for 80% of the course grade. The other 20% will be split evenly between attendance and classwork but a minimum of 75% attendance of all classes is required as less than this will result in a fail grade. All materials will be supplied by the teacher so no books are necessary.

Attendance of at least 75% of the classes is mandatory, less than this will result in a fail grade being given.

| ○授業計画 |
| 1 | Introductions, class rules, outline of course for the year, explanation of grading system indepth. The pace of the course will be dependent on the levels of the students and a more thorough course outline will be given during the course. |
