| ○講義概要 |
This course is an introduction to the systematic study of the most widely used language of the world--English. The primary goal of the course is to bring you to reflect critically on the English language, which is usually taken for granted by its native speakers, but which poses great challenges to those who try to learn it as a second/foreign language. In English Linguistics 1, we will focus particularly on the following aspects: phonetics, phonology, morphology, and syntax.
The course grade will be based on your class attendance, participation, and your performance on the midterm and final exams.
