English With Harry Potter

| ○講義概要 |
This is a class for people planning to become teachers, but is open to anyone interested. The class is divided into two parts; 1 an English class based on the first Harry Potter book. Reading will be out of class. In class we will follow a variety of exercises based on the reading. Students will keep a notebook/vocabulary book which will be collected at the end of the course. 2 following the language learning part of the class, students will discuss the class content, and will judge its value as language teaching.

出席状況(30%)、授業参画(30%)、後期学期末試験(授業期間中)(20%)
Students' notebooks will be collected for evaluation.This counts for 20% of the grade. Please note that failire to take the test, or failure to hand in a notebook will result in an automatic fail.

| 1 | Introduction to the course.
Each week students will read 1-2 chapters of the text, and classroom activities will be based on those chapters. |
