| ○講義概要 |
| To be able to function in the Filipino Language,one has to master the affix system for tense/aspect and the focus system of the verbs. Misuse of the affix could mean the opposite of the meaning intended and could result in great miscommunication. The first semester will be devoted to the intransitive verbs;mastering the affixation and the verbal inflection of the various groups;while the second semester,to the more complex transitive verbs and understanding the focus alternation of the various verb groups.Each lesson is accompanied by ample practice exercises and several short readings to illustrate use and/or function.The readings also serve as window to Philippine culture.Students are expected to actively participate in class. The objective is to develop reading and translation skills of real language text with the help of a dictionary. |
