Writing for the TOEFL Test
|
○講義概要 |
【注意】「授業計画1」を「必ず読む」こと!
This class is intended for the SERIOUS student wanting to make a high score on the TOEFL test. If you are a hard worker, motivated, and ready to improve your English writing skills, this class is for you. If you are up to the challenge, please join this class and watch your TOEFL score rise !
The Writing section requires a progression:from generating and organizing ideas, to supporting those ideas with examples or evidence, and then composing in standard written English in response to an assigned topic. This class will make all of these processes clearer through examples and exercises that improve your score on the Writing section. You write an essay for 30 minutes as if you were taking a real test. Your essay will be posted on our web site "Writing For the TOEFL Test" and given an average score by the Japanese teacher and an American teacher in Texas.
We should also remember that part of the secret to writing a good composition is to get used to writing in English and enjoy writing. Learning the most important techniques of writing for the TOEFL test, you will also write an essay every three weeks outside of class and join the project called "Interactive Writing Community (IWC) on BBS Web Site." You can write about whatever topic you are interested in and post it on the IWC web site to discuss and develop your own ideas with students from all over the world.
