○講義概要
本授業では、下記のテキストを用いて、新聞記事程度の英文の読解の練習を行う。テキストの各章は、聞き取り等の練習問題及び英字新聞からとられた記事から構成されており、文化、環境、経済など様々なトピックを扱っている。練習問題及び記事には、分かりにくい箇所には注釈が付けられているが、授業においては、できる限り注釈を見ずに速読する能力を養うこととする。一回の授業で1章を終えるペースで進める予定である。速読、聞き取りを目的とするため、予習は必要ないが、復習しておくことが要求される。前期、後期の学期末に試験を行う。また、適宜小テストを行う。
○評価方法
前期学期末試験(授業期間中)(45%)、後期学期末試験(授業期間中)(45%)、小テスト等(10%)
