Speaking and Listening

| ○講義概要 |
This course will introduce skills and strategies that enhance functional conversational fluency as well as improve pronounciation, and build on vocabulary. Active participation of the students is expected and encouraged. Task based pair and group work activities will enable students to engage in meaningful communicative exchanges. One class per week will introduce a topic and focus on related grammar practice, drill, vocabulary and listening exercises. The other class will develop the topic and provide opportunities for students to apply the skills learned, share experiences and ideas, give opinions and make cross-cultural comparisons. Activities will include discussions, presentations, role-play, music and movie reviews. Although the main focus will be on developing speaking and listening abilities, reading and writing will be integrated.
