◆英語中級Ⅰ(話し言葉のコミュニケーション)/E - (通)
鈴木利彦
○講義概要
The main goal of this course is to enhance students' cross-cultural communicative competence. It thus aims to improve students' ability in (1) listening, (2) speaking, (3) understanding different cultures, and (4) expressing their own identities. Students will learn how to apply 'communication strategies' to real life contexts. Throughout the course, participants will be requested not only to 'understand others' but also to 'express themselves': cross-cultural communication is 'two-way' traffic, not 'one-way'. In the first term 'J-Talk'(OUP) will be used as a course textbook. In the second term we will use 'Identity'(OUP). This course will also include learning of English in films, dramas and current news topics.
