| ○講義概要 |
This course seeks to provide an in-depth review of the Japanese bureaucracy and the challenges it faces today. Starting with an analysis of the historical background and a comparative overview, we move on to conduct detailed studies of the internal structures of the ministries. We shall then place the bureaucracy in the wider context of Japanese politics and society. The course ends with an examination of salient contemporary issues and reform measures proposed or implemented.

Note that poor attendance or plagiarism results in an automatic “F” however well you do otherwise.
