○講義概要
Course Description: World systems are treated not only as world orders made up of economic and political exchanges, but also as cultural orders and institutionalized rules, defining entities such as national states and individuals.

Course Goals: To introduce advanced undergraduate and graduate students to an emerging inter-disciplinary perspective that draws on sociology as well as anthropology, history, and political science.

Course organization: The core of the course is class discussions. Regular participation and reading of assigned materials are required. Each student is expected to organize and lead the discussion in at least one session
