The library holds approximately 16,000 volumes of related materials. In recent years, with the help of a Grant-in-Aid for Scientific Research, the third edition of the “Kirishitan bunko” (bibliography) has been released to the world in online version with the virtual library “Laures Kirishitan Bunko Database”.The Institute of Grief Care, Japan’s first of its kind, was established in April 2009 in Amagasaki City and became part of Sophia University in April 2010. SUIBE holds public symposiums, sponsors research meetings, and collaborates with international partners to publish and disseminate its research findings. The Semiconductor Research Institute was established on October 1, 2009, as part of Sophia University's centennial project, to honor the achievements of Dr. Jun-ichi Nishizawa and to conduct research on semiconductor engineering and related fields to contribute to the academic and cultural development of our country and to achieve a sustainable society. The institute collaborates with a timed research division Nanotechnology Research Center and semiconductor-related laboratories on campus for research projects, including research on laser devices with nanocolumns and creation of topological state based on artificial graphene. The Institute serves as a hub to establish an efficient research collaboration between semiconductor researchers within and outside of our university.Affiliated Research Organizations
