How to Write a Critical Essay
○講義概要
The course will focus on the basic skills required to write a critical essay. Students will acquire the most useful vocabulary, phrases, grammatical and syntactical structures for this purpose. In addition, the methods of developing a critical argument and structuring an essay will be practised, taking short stories of Katherine Mansfield and extracts from James Joyce's autobiographical novel as the targets for critical analysis and reflection.
