Speaking in context

| ○講義概要 |
Students will practice speaking, but there will also be some listening and reading involved for the content of the class, providing a context for speaking activities. The listening/speaking textbook is designed for an academic environment.
The early part of the course will focus on conversational communication and pronunciation. Discussion and reports (written and oral) will be based on the readings from a novel and news stories, as well as audio recordings of the novel and some song lyrics. Grading will be based on participation, quizzes, and reports. One or two short skits will be performed during the semester.

出席状況(10%)、授業参画(10%)、リアクションペーパー(15%)、レポート(30%)、前期学期末試験(授業期間中)(20%)、小テスト等(15%)
Oral presentations such as skits and others will be included in the "Reports" grade. Homework will be included in the "Quizzes" grade.
