○講義概要

英語の総合的な運用能力を高めることを目標として、特にreading とspeech のskillの向上を目指す。Essay, article, speech, short storyなどの多様なreading教材を用いて、sentenceとparagraphの理解、要旨の把握と文章全体の解釈に留意しながら読み進める。授業では精読について訓練するとともに、語彙の増強、文法理解、listening, writing, group discussion等も併せて行う。名文を読み討論することを通じて、自らの思考を深めることも重視したい。

○評価方法

出席状況(10%)、授業参画(10%)、レポート(20%)、前期学期末試験(授業期間中)(30%)、後期学期末試験(授業期間中)(30%)

プリントを使用する。

適宜指示する。
